Our Story

Hello, I’m Ella and I am a passionate floral designer who founded Flowers of Bath back in 2013.

My passions are all things nature based, the outdoors and my true love of flowers. I fell in love with floristry when I was just 14 years old and my mother insisted on a Saturday job. I found myself working in a city centre florist, initially cleaning the buckets and continuously sweeping the floor to then being an invaluable member of the team and running the shop as a full-time florist.

In 2013, determined to forever spend my days amongst beautiful flowers, I decided it was the right time to do my own thing & set up my own business. Thankfully, it has turned out to be the best decision and career path I could have taken (Thanks Mum!). To this day, I adore what I do and ‘work’ still doesn’t feel like a day at work!

We deliver 6 days a week in most of the BA1 and BA2 postcodes. We offer same day delivery and orders can be placed here.

The dream was always to specialise and put a real focus in to creating extraordinary wedding flowers. The joy I have found over the years in doing so is creating personal relationships with our couples and understanding their story. This ensures that all wedding day florals are crafted to reflect a love, a story and vision perfectly whether it be through scent, palette or flower types and style.

Our bespoke approach to wedding florals will allow our clients to get involved in the process. It will also give them a thorough understanding of our vision when it comes to your flowers combined with our knowledge and skill in crafting to fit with their wedding inspiration.

2013-2016

Flowers of Bath began from my purpose-built studio in the back garden;  two years later I decided it was time for a shop front in the city and moved 5 minutes away on to Lansdown Road in Bath.

2016-2020

Expanding and outgrowing the premises soon after led to me to moving to my current (and favourite!) spot in Larkhall just after the arrival of my son, Jenson, in 2020.

2020-Today

Now based on Upper Lambridge Street in Larkhall, the shop is thriving and the business has expanded – I am so grateful to have the most wonderfully talented team of florists who are totally passionate about all things flowers.

My shop is based in the thriving and beautiful village of Larkhall, a few minutes’ drive from the city centre (it even has free parking!). FOB HQ on a day-to-day has a fresh assortment of flowers, plants, greetings card & small gifts. Along with lots of locally grown blooms in the Summer/Autumn months!). My main emphasis on having the business is exceptional & personal customer service &the highest quality flowers.

Larkhall is filled with so many brilliant independent retailers who are all pretty spectacular at what they do! It’s an honor to be amongst such a strong community with so many other wonderful businesses. Such as, Larkhall Butchers, Goodies Deli, Ma Cuisine, The Pet shop, a pharmacy & lots of other truly fab indies!

Ella’s favourite flower: Blousy garden Rose OR a Ranunculus – it depends on the time of year but it’s so hard to choose and my favourite flower definitely changes on a regular basis!

If you can’t find me in my flower shop, It’s likely that I’ll be out on adventures with my family, on a dog walk with my black Labrador, Roo or even better, somewhere hot on holiday!
