Valentines 2017 – A ‘bloomin’ HUGE success!
Valentines 2017..WOW… What a crazy week it has been.. time to relax. Valentine’s is done for another year and the Chloe and Lewis’ wedding flowers yesterday at Orchardleigh looked amazing.. I am certainly looking forward to a rest tomorrow!
I knew it was going to be difficult to judge how crazy Valentine’s was going to be this year and I knew it was going to be manic but it was such a success and I am so thrilled with how smoothly it went.
So much great feedback has piled in and so many lovely reviews left on our google and facebook page.
Having recently moved from my studio at home in Bathford in to the new shop premises on Lansdown Road it was always going to be tricky one to know how many Roses to order (this is something that has to be done through my wholesalers weeks before Valentine’s day as the demand for high quality red Roses is so high around this time of year).
It wasn’t a case of looking at last years order for Roses and opting for a similar quantity as the shop is a completely different ball game to working from home in my back garden!
It’s always difficult to tell how many men were going to leave it until last minute (or even on Valentine’s day in lots of cases!) to call up and organise a delivery or pop in the shop as they passed by. I have to say, this year, in comparison to previous years, lots of chaps seemed to have been more organised and called a week or so in advance so ensure their order was sorted for delivery on Valentines… as opposed to calling on the 14th, which was a case of answer the phone, take the order, hang up and then picking up the phone again as soon as I had put it down to take another.
My favourite Rose…
As always, this Valentines, the only Red Rose variety that was stocked in the shop was Naomi. An absolutely gorgeous deep Red Rose with a huge head and smells absolutely divine. The perfect Rose to spoil a loved one with at Valentines! After conditioning over a thousand red Roses in the past 7 days, it’s fair to say that my hands need some TLC!
It’s so lovely after a busy few days to catch up with social media to find so many lovely comments, photos and reviews from lovely ladies and gents in Bath who were lucky enough to be treated to a bouquet of flowers.
I have only just launched our brand new luxury hat box collection online, this hat box has to be my all time favourite this Valentines. A gorgeous hat box arrangement made up of Cappucino Roses, Amensia Rose and Wedding Rose. After making so many red Rose bouquets this week it was such a joy to create something slightly different for a lovely client.
