Autumnal wedding flowers at Combe Lodge

Liz and Rob – Saturday 18th November 2017

Combe Lodge, located on the outskirts of Bristol in the rolling hills of Blagdon, has to be on the most romantic mansions venues you could wish for and a favourite of ours to fill with gorgeous blooms!

I met up with Liz and Rob back in January 2017 to talk through their wedding flowers for their Autumnal wedding. I think it is so important to meet the couple way in advance of their wedding day to talk through their ideas and how we can help to make their big day even more special. This time, it was by creating and designs lots of gorgeously bright and autumnal blooms!

Liz and Rob wanted to go for lots of oranges and reds with a touch of purple incorporated so that’s exactly what they had.

The Photographer

Creating flowers for so many weddings and events means that I meet with so many lovely photographers who the couple have chosen to capture their wedding day and this time it was Sam Gibson Photography who is based in Bristol and covers Somerset mainly.

It was the first time I had worked with Sam and it was such a treat to receive the photos through in to my inbox a few months back – it looks like he captured their day so perfectly!

The Couple

Rob and Liz were such a lovely couple and so great to work with. It was just so apparent and lovely to see how crazy they are about each other!

With so much planning to do for your wedding day, they had sorted everything out and it looked so wonderful on the day but I could tell that they just couldn’t wait to tie the knot and become husband and wife. They weren’t too worried if there was rain or sunshine on the day or the chairs weren’t exactly positioned in line for the ceremony, they just wanted to marry their love in front of all their family and friends and it looked so magical.

I am excited to share a few shots with you from their big day and I wish them all the happiness in the world together as husband and wife.
