Having met up with Gemma and Josh roughly 8 months before their wedding day, it was such a joy to provide them with their wedding flowers and look how beautiful Gemma looked in her wedding dress.

The venue –

It’s always exciting to create flowers for a new wedding venue and this time it was Moonraker , near Bradford on Avon. A lot of the guests had a room for the night which meant most of the wedding party were staying at the venue which meant less stress and hassle of travelling about from the ceremony to the reception and then back to their accommodation; the plus side of having your wedding and ceremony at one venue. Moonraker is a grade II listed Georgian hotel which has a personal and intimate feel to it.

The cake –

I have worked with Hannah (Bath Baby Cakes) a couple of times before and each time I have seen her amazing creations for the couples wedding day, the cake is always amazing. Hannah didn’t disappoint for Gemma and Josh.

Gemma and Josh went for a three tier naked wedding cake and wanted it dressed with seasonal fruits and fresh flowers to match Gemma’s bouquet. The cake flowers consisted of Ranunculus, Roses, Spray Roses, Eucalyptus and soft Ruscus.

It’s nice to have the flexibility with my clients to do what works best and being allowed to use my experience and skills to ensure that their wedding flowers look gorgeous. Gemma and Josh didn’t know much about flower types or what was available in February. That’s where I step in.. I talked them through their options and appropriate flower types and styles to achieve their vision for their wedding day. It certainly looked beautiful on the day and I feel so honoured to have created their flowers for their big day.

The flowers –

Gemma and Josh wanted soft pinks, ivorys and greens for their wedding flowers. The flower types that were incorporated in to their wedding flowers were as follows:

Ranunculus, Roses, Lisianthus, Stocks, Spray Roses, Eucalyptus and Soft Ruscus.
