Wick Farm – Georgia and Alex
‘My husband and I were married in June and we couldn’t have asked for a better florist. Ella was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and kind; she took my flitting back and forth between floral arrangements in her stride and was able to make some perfect suggestions, which we appreciated immensely. When the big day arrived, the flowers were better than I could have hoped and Ella even went above and beyond to get us the eucalyptus we loved even there had been a shortage. Thank you for helping to make our day so special :)’
Georgia and Alex contacted me back in June 2017 and asked if I would be able to create their flowers for their wedding day being held at the beautiful Wick Farm on the outskirts of Bath.

As I’m sure you all know, from the amount I go on about it, but I do adore a Summer wedding. Ok, you can’t guarantee the weather which is one of the joys of living in the UK but their is an abundance of blooms available which makes the rainy Summer days a little more acceptable!
THE FLOWERS
Georgia originally had planned to go for a real vibrant mix of flowers with lots of textures and feathers incorporated but as you are about to see, the brief changed and we ended up creating soft yellows, ivory and green designs for their wedding blooms which worked perfectly in the barn and really brought a sense of soft summer romance to the barn.
Georgia booked Widbrook Grange exclusively for all of their family and friends for a few nights before the wedding and the night of wedding and she wanted to put floral accents throughout the hotel for the guests to enjoy during their stay.
So, we decided that instead of completely changing the colour scheme of their flowers, we resorted back to their original colour scheme and natural/wild styled designs and incorporated lots of vibrant blooms throughout the hotel.

We dressed the snug and reception areas with plants and crates full of bright flowers & also created designs for their afternoon tea table which was full of freshly baked cakes for everyone to indulge in the day before the wedding.
Georgia wanted the table to be traditionally English and country garden style so we incorporated pots of Lavender in terracotta pots with an assortment of jam jars with scented blooms in.
Georgia’s wedding day flowers incorporated Buttercup Roses, Peonies, Ranunculus, Eucalytpus and Ruscus, Spray Roses and Stocks.

THE CAKE
Their beautiful semi-naked wedding cake was created by Hannah, a local cake maker who I work with regularly when setting up weddings for couples and who has created many cakes over the years for myself, family and friends.
The cake looked absolutely incredible and smelt divine – the halved lemons and fresh look to the cake perfectly complimented the flowers that Georgia and Alex chose for their wedding
The cake was topped with white Peonies, Buttercup Roses, Spray roses and Eucalytpus.
Georgia and Alex looked so thrilled and so in love on their wedding day and their day was captured perfectly by Kerry.
Kerry’s photography is so classic and timeless and with every image that popped in to my inbox from the bride a few months back just shows their comfort and Kerry’s natural approach to photographing their day.

Georgia’s absolutely dreamy wedding dress was from Dress in Love in Hertford.
Georgia and Alex decided that they wanted the venue to have lots of candles and give it a real romantic summers evening feel to the day and night. That is where the candelabra idea sprang to mind. Each candelabra had a garland of flowers trailing down the silver with grey candles.

It was such a pleasure to create their wedding flowers last Summer and such a treat to look back through the images!
Georgia and Alex sent me the loveliest email and left me a wonderful review which I am forever grateful for. x
