Katie and Findlay tie the knot!
Saturday 8th July 2017 – Botanical Gardens, Bath
It’s always such a joy to design and create wedding flowers for a lovely couple who tied the knot back in the city where their romance began during university.
Katie and Findlay were clearly very excited seeing their visions come together for their wedding day as we sat down over a cuppa and chatted through exactly what they both wanted in terms of blooms for their wedding.
The Bride and Groom
Katie and Findlay had a few ideas as to the flowers and style they wanted for the big day and had figured out their colour scheme before they came for their consultation – always a bonus as wedding flowers are usually based around the colours of the wedding.
The Marquee
Katie loved Peonies and wanted to incorporate them in to her flowers but it was a difficult task knowing that Peonies were coming to the end of their season at the time of their wedding… BUT, I managed to get hold of the exact variety that Katie had requested and she was thrilled- phew.
Kerry, a fab Bath based photographer set up her business, A Tall Long Legged Bird, and was asked to document Katie and Findlay’s big day and didn’t she do a bloomin’ marvellous job.
The Bridesmaids
It’s so exciting to work with new amazing people in the wedding industry and I am excited to recommend her to my clients for events in the future! Head over to her amazing Instagram here.
The Arch
It was such a pleasure to install this arch over the entrance of the church which looked fabulous in the glorious sunshine that they had on their wedding day.
The arch was filled with gorgeous Hydrangea, Peony, Rose and Hypericum to match Katie’s bouquet.
Huge congratulations to you both, it was a pleasure to create your wedding flowers and it was so fantastic to see them in place on the day. Ella x
